Okay…….. I’ve been AWOL……. I’ve been a slacker…….. irresponsible…… and all that! Life has got in my way. Too much to do…. too little time. That is about to change! I’m back with a new adventure on the horizon!
We are headed back to Walt Disney World very soon!
Our trip is Wednesday, May 17th until the 24th and we are once again staying at the beautiful Boardwalk Villas.
And this trip will be very special! We will have a lot of guest stars on this trip!
We are meeting some very good friends while we are there. One couple….. Sig and Lisa….. who we met on line through our Facebook group, “We’re going to Disney World”, are meeting us the next day and staying at the Boardwalk also.
We are also happy that our dear friends…….. Ross and Bonnie Cottone, from Rochester, New York are joining us for the very first time at Walt Disney World. Ross plays golf with me every Tuesday morning and Bonnie used to live behind us before she married Ross. They are special people and we are going to enjoy showing them around Walt Disney World and all the fun we have there.
We have a pretty good trip planned out with so much fun in store. I am going to try to do my daily trip reports every evening or morning if possible but we have so much planned I might have to put some days together.
But here’s some of the things we have lined up so far…….. Day one…. after we arrive and check ion we are headed to the Magic Kingdom to enjoy the park.
We are also hoping to meet up with a couple of people that we met on You Tube. Their channel is about two people living in and traveling the country in their Class A Motorhome.
Check it out….. it’s called The Motorhome Experiment. I wasn’t able to link it but you can cut and paste it to your browser. You will be entertained!
Paul and Lorena seem to be good people….. and Patti and I have a lot in common with them. I’ve been messaging with Paul and they are at Walt Disney World right now but are leaving the day after we arrive. We are going to try to meet up for a quick hello….. and maybe an adult beverage.
On day two we are going to Epcot for the morning and then Sig and Lisa arrive.
Sig and Lisa have a tradition of eating at Cape May on their first day at Walt Disney World and have invited us. We (all six of us) are going to dinner at Cape May Café for the first time. so it will be fun.
Day three is my 67th Birthday and Ross and I have an early (8:00am) Tee Time for Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. This will be our first time playing golf at Walt Disney World. Sig and the ladies are headed to Disney Springs for some shopping in the morning while we golf.
We should be done playing and be back to the Boardwalk by 1:00pm and we plan to lay around the pool for a couple of hours and enjoy some adult beverages. We also have a 3:55 dinner reservation at the ESPN Club for all six of us.
After dinner we are walking to Epcot to watch our favorite rock group…. The British Revolution perform in the UK. This should be special for Ross as he is a musician himself.
We are also excited to see Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone perform their show at the American Gardens Theater after. Yes we are that old!
We are very excited to see some new stuff on this trip. We have fast passes for the Rivers of Light show at Animal Kingdom.
Sig, Lisa, Patti and I also have preview passes for Disney’s new attraction……… Pandora – The World of Avatar. We have been selected for Annual Passholder previews on Sunday evening, May 21st at 6:00pm and for Disney Vacation Club members preview Monday morning, May 22nd
Another special evening we have planned is….. we have reservations for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review on Monday evening, May 22nd. Patti and I have been here once, a long time ago but this will be Sig’s, Lisa’s, Bonnie’s and Ross’s first time and it should be a great time!
We also hope to meet up with the Allison family while we are there. I need a “Kadie” Hug!
Other than these things…… it’s just another ho-hum kind of Disney trip!
I hope you follow along during our trip to see what kind of trouble we can get into.
