No alarm again this morning but we were up a little before 8:00am and drinking our last mornings coffee on our balcony. We sure are going to miss this villa. The location was perfect for us.
We hustled around to get packed and we finally finished and headed out after saying goodbye to the beautiful view.
We took our luggage to be checked through to Buffalo down to the airlines desk and left our two backpacks with bell service and headed to the Magic Kingdom. We had fast passes for Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Buzz Lightyear’s Ranger Spin.
We also went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Country Bear Jamboree and had lunch at Cosmic Rays. We wanted to ride the train but found out it was out of service so we decided to leave the Magic Kingdom and take the Monorail to Epcot but we needed a couple of goodbye pictures first.
Then we were on our way. The monorail ride was fun and brought back memories from about ten years back when we were lucky enough to ride up front with the pilot. It was a beautiful ride back then, but Disney discontinued allowing passengers up front after a severe monorail accident.
Once at Epcot we walked on Spaceship Earth and through the Butterfly Garden before walking to the Boardwalk. It was also time for my “farewell” Mickey Bar.
Once there we stopped by the hotel dog stand and enjoyed another foot long hot dog.
We retrieved our backpacks from bell service and went out front to wait for our Tragical Express Bus. It arrived promptly are 6:45, we boarded and we’re dropped at the airport. Security was a snap and we walked to our gate after the short tram ride.
Our flight was on time and we landed in Buffalo a little after midnight. Our drive from Buffalo took just about one hour so we didn’t get into bed until about 1:30 am but it sure felt good to sleep in our own bed.
Monday was spent getting everything in our life back to order and booking Disney trips for the Free Dining Promotion that Disney just had to roll out early this morning.
I’ll be back later this week with my final thoughts, especially my thoughts about the status of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Let me know if I could help your family experience the kind of vacations that we experience every time we visit Disney Destinations.
