Ahhhhh…. can you feel it?
Love is all around us.
It’s in you even though you might try to resist it…. not want it…. not expect it……..but yes……. it’s all around us.
So why not celebrate it!
At Walt Disney World there are several romantic ways to celebrate love especially with Valentines Day just around the corner.
One of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World is Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter.
One of my favorite things we’ve done at Walt Disney World was to take a horse drawn carriage ride with my sweetie at Port Orleans Riverside.
I surprised my love by packing her favorite bottle of wine in a wine carrier in our checked luggage before we left for our trip. She had no idea it was in my suitcase. I also packed two plastic wine glasses with it. I put them all in my backpack before we walked the short walk from Port Orleans French Quarter to Boatwright’s.
We had met friends at Boatwright’s for an early dinner and after the desert we walked out front to the awaiting carriage. She was truly surprised as I helped her into the carriage and even more surprised when I opened my backpack and took out two wine glasses and her favorite Riesling.
What made it even more special was the look on everyone’s faces that saw us riding while enjoying our moment, sitting close and sipping wine. The way people looked at us, you’d think we were in Cinderella’s Royal Coach. It was a special moment in our life and worth every penny I paid! You can find out more here.
There are several places to get romantic dinners all over Walt Disney World. One of the favorites is the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort. You can spend an evening dining in elegance and watch Wishes while having desert.
Our personal favorite places for a romantic dinner is at the Yachtsman Steak House.
We’ve celebrated an anniversary here with the 32 ounce Porterhouse for two. While expensive even at Disney standards, it was extremely good and our waiter made sure we were completely satisfied!
You’ve got kids along on your trip? While my wife and I travel without kids ninety nine percent of the time, we understand. There are baby sitters available and kids activity centers that can help with that. Find the info here.
After you enjoyed the romantic dinner for two at the Yachtsman Steak House you can walk hand in hand around the pathway to the Boardwalk and take in a show and then end up at the Atlantic Dance Club and work off the dinner like you are kids again. Maybe stroll over to Jelly Rolls and enjoy the fun, the music and all the good times sharing the night away with the dueling piano guys!
And to be honest…. you don’t have to spend a lot of money to find romance at Walt Disney World….. it is all around you. Stop and smell the roses…. we’ve found them in every park and yes…. we are rose sniffers!
Sit on a bench in the shade every now and then and watch the families running for attraction to attraction….. and my favorite….. eat a Mickey Bar while you people watch. Relax…… you are on vacation. And if it’s just you and your sweet heart, it’s all the better!
Five nights for two people staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, including Disney’s Park Hopper tickets and the Disney Dining Plan so you can enjoy everything I’ve talked about can cost less then $3,000.
